Working with a New Coach
Prague, 1 June 2020 – Klára Spilková has started collaboration with a new coach – American Greg Lavoie (35), a still playing professional, a graduate of the University of Oregon with experience from the American Web.com Tour as well as the European Challenge Tour, who lives in Prague.
Last year, he ended up third in the Czech PGA Tour Grand Final.
“I decided to move on. I wish to thank the current coach Lukáš Martinec for the tremendous four years together during which I won a LET tournament and qualified to the American LPGA,“ said the KPMG global team and Czech Golf Team member.
“Greg impressed me with his expertise and, say, American approach. He knows a lot about golf but still keeps it all simple for me. Our collaboration started off promisingly, and I hope we will make it work,“ added the LPGA player. She cannot say when she returns to playing tournaments. “The LPGA plans to restart at the end of July. There should be one tournament in the US and then I should return back to Europe. Just like other golfers, I waiting for more news from the LPGA, which keeps us informed about the current development,“ said Klára Spilková, who has practised on Czech golf courses since April, especially for PGA National in OAKS Prague, and also undergoes the regular fitness training.
