Klára Davidson Spilková has last three tournaments of the season ahead of her

In the past fourteen days, Czech professional Klára Davidson Spilková has been dedicated to sponsorship obligations and spent a week of preparation in Malaga, Spain. Davidson Spilková is about to enter the final phase of the season, where she will compete in the last three tournaments of this year. She will start at the final competition of the Aramco Team Series and then play two tournaments on Spanish soil – a tournament in Mallorca and the Ladies European Tour season finale in Marbella.

The team event, in addition to the majors, is considered one of the highlights of the season, as golfers will face tough competition in a limited starting field for higher points and rewards starting at one million US dollars.

This year’s fifth Aramco Team Series presented by Public Investment Fund tournament will feature stars like American world number one Lilia Vu, fourth-ranked Minjee Lee of Australia and eighth-ranked Charley Hull of England.

“I always look forward to the Aramco tournaments. It’s an interesting format where we play both against each other and as a team, and it is also greatly motivating given the strong field. It’s wonderful that we will have the current world number one and many other players from the LPGA Tour and the world’s top ten among us,” Davidson Spilková shared from Saudi Arabia.

Most of the tournaments so far played in Saudi Arabia have taken place at the coastal Royal Greens course in the newly built King Abdullah City, known from the DP World and Asian Tour. However, this time, we will be playing in a desert oasis near Riyadh at the less-known Riyadh GC 18-hole.

“So far, I’ve only had the opportunity to see the back nine, but there’s still a pro-am round ahead, so I’ll be able to go through it with a local caddie. You can tell it’s more of a local and older course compared to what we are used to normally. On the other hand, it’s interesting to explore a new city and a course set in the desert, with only a few green areas. The front nine is flatter and simpler, while the back nine is more challenging with bunkers, water, and wavy greens. They’ve built a new clubhouse just for our tournament, which is beautiful and provides excellent facilities,” the Czech professional revealed about the venue.

In addition to Davidson Spilková, who will once again assume the role of team captain, three other Czech names will appear in the 84-player starting field. The winner of the previous team event in Hong Kong, Kristýna Napoleaová, the fifth from the previous tournament in India, Sára Kousková, and the winner of the 2022 Beroun event, Jana Melichová.
